James Ortiz is one of those rare types of people whose brilliance is immediately palpable. When he contacted me about working together (@davidfgow I’m forever in your debt for making the connect), I was so intimidated by his artistry. But the process of working with him was anything but that. James is the ideal client; he has that Goldilocks just right quality of appreciation for the craft, and sensible nudges to always take it further and make it better. He’s generous, encouraging, thoughtful…and I spent the majority of our fittings hysterically laughing. Seeing his brilliance in this film appreciated by the world at large feels exactly right.
